This weekend I finally got my Christmas present which saw me doing 2 of my very, very favourite things:

Number 1 – Hanging out with my wonderful family

and

 Number 2 – Going to see Bruce Springsteen in concert

I love, love, love these big events where everyone is there to share a good time. Add music and a performer who’s brilliant at connecting with his audience and you have a recipe for an amazing life affirming experience. Then throw in the family and . . . wow . . . I’m in pig heaven!

What a fabulous Christmas present with the added bonus of six months to savour the thought that it was ahead of me. It definitely did not disappoint.

And it didn’t end there . . . we got to hang out some more when Rebecca stayed overnight (a rare treat) and we went to meet John come in from the London to Brighton Bike Ride on Sunday morning.

Then some Father’s Day action with Rebecca’s husband, Greg, joining us for a lovely brunch that the kids had prepared.
