The last few visits to the attic have left me feeling pretty uninspired.

So I think it’s time to get going with some challenges again. There’s been a lot of staring at paintings, a lot of sighing, much picking up and putting down of materials but not much painting going on.

There’s one that has been set up by The Craft Barn that looks fun. It’s called the Alpha Challenge and is based around finding a dictionary and altering it. It runs for the whole year so there will be plenty of opportunities to use it to help me get unstuck’ if needs be.

Challenges are posted every 2 weeks on Sundays and there will be a prize to win each time (voucher or goodies).

The letters aren’t given out in order to make sure you don’t work ahead of time . “V” was the first one and the latest one was “C”.

I don’t actually have an old dictionary but I found a children’s encyclopeadia that I bought for 20p from the Sunday Market, so I’m using that.

So here’s my first attempt at “C”. The actual word is colour as highlighted in the close up above:

Nothing fancy going on here. Just  stablio pens, stencils and washi tape.

If you decide to join in please leave a comment here with a link to your creation so we can see what you’ve done with the letter “C”.
