Geometric Pink and Green and Blue

On my workdesk this Wednesday is a geometric painting that’s been hanging around for months. I only work on it in dribs and drabs as I have to wait for the paint to dry before removing the masking tape and adding fresh. Also, it’s many layered so takes a lot of patience and we all know I’m not always up for that.

Pink Geometric Acrylic Painting

This photo does not do the colours justice. I really need to get some sort of lighting with a daylight bulb.

Anyway, that’s me. Off to help a friend water her allotment. Ooops! Off to do a bit of painting I meant!

So cool! The colors look so vibrant and great together. I have never tried that technique! It looks like I will add it to my “must try” list! Enjoy the gardenning (ha ha ..Painting…). It is so brutal this week here in NYC, I can’t keep my veggies/lawn watered enough. Winnie#86

      Hi Winnie

If you try the technique it’s worth getting decent masking tape. Look for the type decorator’s use. We have this stuff in the UK called Frog Tape which is really good. It creates a micro-barrier to stop the paint seeping under. Doesn’t work 100% with thin, watery paint but is much better than standard stuff. Let me know if you do try it. I’d love to see what you create.

I very much like this striped painting.. I, too, am a sucker when it comes to patience… it DOES get better when you grow older (at least, that was the case with me!) Happy ~ belated ~ woyww and a hug from Holland. Marit #91
