Crow Birthday Card

Crow Card Desk

It’s WOYWW and today I’ve been working on a birthday card for my friend who likes crows.

I used one of the Gelli prints from my 101 Gelli Print project as a background. I cut the red words and heart with my Silhouette Cameo although I still needed to finish them off with a craft knife. They were cut from handmade paper stuck to cardboard from a cereal box.  The black words were hand stamped on cotton. The gold wire came from a food item.

I’m really pleased with the result even though I managed to print “Handcrafted by Gillian Pearce” upside down on the back. I’m really experiencing a vacant mind sort of period lately. Must be the heat!

If you haven’t already done so please go to Vote For A Quote and help me decide what inspiration to put on my next painting. One of them is almost at the winning point. No peeking before you vote though!

Love the card. Big Crow fan, me. I did the same thing with the upside down printing on the back of my WOYWW atc’s, lol. Stamped the ATC info on the back, then didn’t check which way up they were when I did the fronts. Never mind, we can always say its arty, lol. Have a great week, Hugs Shaz xx #50

Lovely to have been in the attic with you when you were adding touches to this. Interesting how the crow came from exploring cameo designs & how i had the intention for a card too & ended up with a painting: http://ein2arts.co.uk/?page_id=4
Looking forward to the continuing unfolding of art in the attic.
